One of the difficulties that Nakeisha’s PA practices might create is reluctance of employees working hard to get positive remarks in their appraisals. Since the rest of the employees would hear about what Nakeisha did for Bill. This would create the belief that the only way they would get positive feedback would be if they have some personal issues and not because of their hard work. The practices would also cause difficulties if soon the company would want to fire Bill for performing poorly. The company would be sued by Bill, a law suit that he would easily will due to Nakeisha’s bias.

What can Nakeisha do now to diminish the negative impact of her evaluation of Bill?

The best strategy to use to deal with the issue that Nakeisha created is to give the correct evaluation of Bill’s performance. Although Bill is facing some personal issues that require a lot of money, he still has a responsibility towards his company. He should work hard like the rest of the employees to get the positive appraisal that would help him earn some extra money from the organization. Doing so will help encourage employees from the company work hard so that they can get recognized for their efforts rather than trying to take advantage of the supervisor’s generosity and kindness.

Instead, the strategy would make the employees feel that their individual performance does not matter. The strategy would further increase the problem created by Nakeisha because in cases where the employees all perform well, the strategy would require some of them to be rated poorly, which would discourage the employees from working hard.
